Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: 22 December 2025
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all contracts for services provided by Heat Control Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) to our customers (“you”, “your”) in connection with heating installation, maintenance, repair, and associated services. By instructing us or allowing us to commence work, you agree to these Terms.
1. Our Services
1.1 We provide heating services including installation, servicing, repairs, and associated works.
1.2 Any description of services or quotations provided are estimates and subject to these Terms.
2. Quotations and Acceptance
2.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.
2.2 Quotations may be revised if there are changes to the scope of work, materials, or regulatory requirements.
2.3 Acceptance of a quotation constitutes a binding contract subject to these Terms.
3. Deposits and Payment
3.1 A deposit of 25–50% of the total quotation may be required before work commences (specific deposit to be confirmed on quotation).
3.2 Payment of the deposit confirms acceptance of these Terms.
3.3 The balance is due upon completion of the works unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.4 Payment methods accepted: Bank transfer, card, or other agreed methods.
3.5 Late payment may incur interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate per annum until payment is made.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
4.1 If you wish to cancel a scheduled appointment:
More than 48 hours’ notice: no cancellation fee.
Less than 48 hours’ notice: a £50 administration fee may apply.
Same-day cancellation: up to 25% of the quoted cost may be charged.
4.2 If we need to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you promptly and agree a new date.
5. Access and Customer Responsibilities
5.1 You must provide safe access to the premises, including parking, utilities, and workspace for our engineers.
5.2 Any delay caused by lack of access or unsafe conditions may result in additional charges.
5.3 You are responsible for securing any permissions required (e.g., landlord or regulatory approvals).
6. Materials and Equipment
6.1 We will provide materials and equipment as part of our services unless otherwise stated.
6.2 Materials remain our property until full payment is received.
6.3 Any materials supplied by the customer must be safe, legal, and suitable for the work.
7. Liability
7.1 We will carry out services with reasonable care and skill.
7.2 We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to lost profits, business interruption, or loss of use.
7.3 Liability for defective workmanship or materials is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the affected works.
7.4 You are advised to obtain adequate insurance for your property.
8. Warranty
8.1 Workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months unless otherwise stated in the quotation.
8.2 Manufacturer warranties for materials or equipment supplied will apply as per the manufacturer’s terms.
8.3 Warranty claims must be notified in writing as soon as reasonably possible.
9. Health and Safety
9.1 Our engineers comply with all relevant Health and Safety regulations.
9.2 You must inform us of any known hazards on site.
9.3 We reserve the right to suspend work if unsafe conditions are present.
10. Termination
10.1 Either party may terminate the contract if there is a material breach of these Terms.
10.2 Termination does not affect accrued rights or obligations, including payment for work completed.
11. Governing Law
11.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
11.2 Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to Terms
12.1 We may revise these Terms from time to time. The version at the time of acceptance or quotation will apply to your contract.
