Boiler Service in the Summer?
A boiler service in summer sounds like something nobody wants to do. In fact it sounds totally illogical. Central heating is usually turned off in summer or at least significantly reduced and therefore the thought of keeping your boiler maintained during this period makes little sense for most people. However, from our perspective it makes total sense.
We believe it’s best to be proactive with your boiler service than reactive when you suspect something might be starting to go wrong. Boilers are more likely to become faulty or need repairs when the weather changes. This isn’t necessarily due to the colder/damper weather directly impacting on the boiler or pipework but because it is being used more frequently and therefore the chances drastically increase that a component might fail or sludge builds up.
We are of course slightly less busy in the summer months. But when Autumn months hit our diary gets booked up very quickly. So it’s worth noting that you could be waiting a couple of days for a boiler service in summer compared to a couple of weeks in winter.
The photos to the right show is a recent example of Ryan servicing a Baxi combi boiler in early August. The appointment took only an hour and a half and meant that the customer was assured their boiler would likely get them through winter without any foreseen hiccups.
Our boiler services start at £75.00 plus VAT and can be paid even in advance or once the service has concluded. In our eyes it makes economical sense to get your service in the summer so you can be assured and covered when the colder months set in.
